The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), Sindh is a provincial health initiative established under the Health Department, Government of Sindh. EPI Sindh is dedicated to ensuring that every child in the province receives life-saving vaccines that protect against a range of deadly but preventable diseases.
Operating under the Sindh Integrated Health and Population Program, EPI Sindh works in close collaboration with global health partners including the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, Gavi — The Vaccine Alliance, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
To provide safe, effective, and high-quality vaccines to every child in Sindh — free of charge — as part of the provincial routine immunization schedule, reducing child morbidity and mortality from vaccine-preventable diseases.
A Sindh free from vaccine-preventable diseases, where every child has an equal opportunity to grow up healthy, regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic background.
EPI Sindh currently provides vaccines against twelve diseases: Childhood Tuberculosis (BCG), Polio (OPV & IPV), Diarrhoea (Rotavirus), Pneumonia (PCV), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Tetanus, Hepatitis-B, Meningitis (Hib), Diphtheria, Measles/Rubella (MR), and Typhoid (TCV). All vaccines are provided free of cost at government health facilities.
